Newport Retreat operates www.newportretreat.com and manages two short-term rental homes on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you make an enquiry or a booking we ask for your name, email address, phone number, travel dates and party size. If you complete a reservation we also collect billing details and any special requests you choose to share. When you simply browse the site, our hosting and analytics providers record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page and the pages you view.

How we use it

We use your information to answer enquiries, take and manage reservations, arrange check-in and guest communication, process payments, meet our legal and tax obligations, prevent fraud, and improve the website. If you opt in, we may email you occasional offers and availability updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such email.

Payments

We do not store full card numbers on our own systems. Card payments are processed by our booking platform's payment provider under their own security and privacy terms.

Service providers

We share information only as needed with the companies that help us run the business: Hostaway, our property management and booking platform; our payment processor; Google Analytics, for aggregate traffic measurement; and our email provider. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies to remember your preferences and to measure traffic through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as well as a result.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and reservation records for as long as we need them to run the business and to satisfy tax, accounting and legal requirements, and we delete them after that.

Your rights

If you live in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the GDPR gives you comparable rights, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
